Description
These flow dividers, patented as “Divinor” by Nortek, have the task of distributing the air-oil over several lubrication points without using mechanical means.
Although they can be used in any type of industry, they have been developed for steel applications, especially in rolling mill blast furnaces.
Design and principle of operation
The flow enters the Divinor through the inlet (A), colliding with the internal divider (1) which is in charge of distributing the flow through both outlets according to the orifices made in both outlets. Due to its grooved profile developed by Nortek, the division is made accurately through both outlets (B and C).
Installation
It is made by means of a longitudinal hole recommended by Nortek of Ø25 H11 made in the bushing in an unobstructed area with both sides of the bushing threaded to 1 “bsp as standard (optionally to M30x1.5) and feed holes to the bearing and seals.
A plug is placed in the longitudinal bore on one side and a ¼”bsp Nortek inlet system on the other. Internally, as many dividers as necessary will be placed internally, with intermediate extensions as required. The feed holes are plugged on the outside.
