NORTEK secures major order for eight lubrication systems for copper mills bound for China

NORTEK has secured a major order for oil circulation systems from Primetals Technologies. Such systems will become part of a package of four copper bar mills that Southwire Company, LLC will install throughout 2019 in three plants located in the Chinese provinces of Jiangsu, Zheijang and Jiangxi. In total, NORTEK will supply eight monoblock lube systems.

NORTEK’s technical solution for the lubrication of low-speed mills for non-ferrous metals is globally renowned for its high competitiveness, since it reaches to integrate on a sole skid, and in greatly adjusted dimensions, all the necessary equipment to ensure optimal oil recirculation conditions. It features a stainless steel tank —optimized according to the master lines of our patented SmartTank®— with anti-foam system, integrated return filter and a floating suction that prevents water and dirt ingress. Its duplex filter is switchable in operation, due to our special three-way valve design. Furthermore, the skid includes the oil vacuum dehydration system, whose heat exchanger is also utilized for the lubricant heating, thus achieving substantial savings in space and cost.
This package will represent one of the major projects we will be dealing with during the second half of 2018, and will reinforce our position as a global specialist in the design, optimization and manufacturing of lube systems for this kind of metal rolling.
