NORTEK receives the order for the biggest spindle lubricator pumps in its commercial history
NORTEK has secured a very important order for spindle lubricator pumps for the Chinese market which, in its first phase, will involve the design and manufacture of two units with a diameter of 668 mm. This is a unique project because of its very nature and the size of the equipment. Indeed, these very particular pumps are a solution that only two suppliers in the world offer, and these are the largest units NORTEK has built during its long commercial history.
This product meets a very specific need in the iron and steel industry for which only two suppliers in the world have the answer today.
Our company has been manufacturing spindle lubricator pumps since 1979, with many units being currently in operation both in Spain and abroad, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Egypt and China. These systems meet a very specific need in the primary metals industry: grease lubrication of fittings subjected to wear and tear at the large rotating axles that allow the transmission from the engine to the sheet lamination boxes. These being mobile greasing points, it is not possible to use a fixed system, but it is necessary to install two concentric rings that rotate at the same time as the axle rod and distribute the grease at both ends. Adjustment of the ring with the axle rod is essential, and therefore high precision machining is required to prevent wear. Having our own machining workshop is key to being able to take on orders of this kind while providing full quality guarantees.
We are currently completing the production of four smaller spindle lubricator pumps intended for Canada and Indonesia. This new order for the Chinese market, however, will increase the range of diameters available in our catalog and strengthen our position as a global supplier of this product.
